My thighs are my main concern, as I have quite a bit of muscle there already (I gain leg muscle very easily), giving me the ‘thunder thighs’ appearance. : P
What fat burning exercises can I do that won’t emphasize my thigh muscles anymore than they already are?
I’m not looking for spot training exercises to lose weight, since you don’t actually lose weight from spots, you lose it everywhere (which is what I’m aiming for anyways). I’m looking for fat burning exercises with minimal leg, specifically thigh, muscle gain.

Since running seems to be the winning exercise, how fast/long should I run for?
I’ve read that distance runners get fat loss benefit with minimal muscle bulk, while the sprinters get their bulky legs. I just want to make sure I don’t overdo it.

The more thigh muscle the better! If it’s all muscle, you shouldn’t be complaining. Girls with muscular legs are the best!
It sounds like you already have learned quie a bit. It also sounds like you want something that’s more of a “full body” cardio workout and not just legs.
I would suggest running. It’s doesn’t do much to your legs but make them look stringy. And that sounds like what you want. Avoid the spinning classes — in addition to being a good cardio workout, it’s a strength workout for the legs, which sounds like it’s NOT what you want.
One comment, though: I have never known ANYone who “gained muscle easily”. To gain muscle, you have to work the living &*%^ out of a muscle group, constantly pushing your ability to even do the exercise. In my experience, this question is often asked by women who think large arms or legs or butt or whatever is mostly muscle… but it seldom is.
And what’s the harm in being muscular. Some day it might be convenient to kick some wisea$$ guy’s butt (mine for instance).
